The Maltonian Web Gallery - 2022 Reunion

Reunions have probably been taking place since the first students left school. They usually require one person who is prepared to do some letter writing and phone calling - or more likely email, WhatsApp and Facebook these days - and then others respond.

Photos on this page are from a gathering held on 3 September 2022 at The Wentworth Arms. Organised by Sarah Watkins (Sarah Jones) for the group who left 40 years previously in 1982. She comments in an email to me:

We all met at midday on Saturday 3 September at the Wentworth Arms in Old Malton. Over the previous month via social media we had managed to connect 26 of us and also reach 3 of our ex teachers. Miss Richardson (later becoming Mrs Key) who taught PE and games, Mrs Baxter who taught Home economics and Mr Lucas who taught Geography. It was really great playing ‘Guess Who’, but this was helped a little by sneaking a peek on social media of people's more recent photos. Several of the group rummaged in lofts and spare rooms to hunt out old photo albums and we had a great time on Whats App sharing these.
