The Maltonian Web Gallery - 1970s

During this decade the two schools, Malton Grammar and County Modern, merged to become one. For some reason, the traditional school photographs taken by a visiting specialist, ceased to be taken and most of what is in the collection are personal snaps, and the odd newspaper press photo, though there are some excellent professional looking pictures of a production of Oliver. Certainly the school population was now too big for the whole school panoramics. It would be the 1990s before the school photographers returned again for formal group photos.
