There has been a close connection between Malton School and the Scouts and Guides over the years, with the school hosting its own troop in the Grammar School days. When the Malton Community Sports Centre was built in 2010 these links were restored, with the Scout organisation investing money in the project, in return for a Scout Headquarters' home in half of the old East Wing gym. (The other half became a drama studio.)

All the photos below were loaned for scanning by Phyllis Witty in 2003. They all come from the 1920s.
