The Maltonian Photo Gallery - Room 40, East Wing

Room 40 in East Wing has gone through a number of changes in its existence. Originally it was the school hall for the Grammar School, until the 1951 extensions created a new hall, and it became the school library. In 1999 the library moved to the old art rooms / East Wing canteen, and it was equipped as a computer room. Then in 2023 a mezzanine floor was added, and new computer stations are to be installed, creating a quiet study areas for sixth form students. This was funded by a generous legacy left to the School by former student and Head Girl, Sheila Pratt.
